I have not had a chance to go look at the camera footage from yesterday and this community has helped solve cases in the past for us (case of the missing 125) so once again I bring you bad news. One of my blue anthelia colonies has turned up missing.

Now there has been several people at the shop with there hands in the tanks of late "volunteering" and it could have gotten bagged by accident. This coral was in the middle 125 coral sale tank on the Middle(upper) Lefthand grid of the display rack. Barry says he did not sell it and he prob did not as it was his favorite piece as well.

If you did purchase this coral I ask you to please return it for $50 Store Credit, it's not worth that much, I have another colony but as I said this was my own personal coral I was using for propagation. It has survived several crashes and I started it from a single polyp lets say I have grown attached to it. No one is claiming a CVRC member did this but there were some members there yesterday who may have seen something. Feel free to PM me with details.

However if it was stolen I give that individual a chance to return it to the tank no questions asked. I will review the tapes tonight if all goes well. BTW No one is claiming a CVRC member did this but there were some members there yesterday who I hope may have seen something. Feel free to PM me with details we will make sure no one knows who you are.

Thanks again. </b>

So Sorry to hear about this. That coral was beautiful. It sucks when things go missing. Hopefully someone saw who took it and you can get it back. Or better yet you can catch them on the tape, if you do I hope you call the cops and press charges against them.

How the heck do you manage to swipe livestock???
I know, it's insane. Remember a while back someone got Barry's birds, which were his personal pets. If there were one thing I could ask for in this world it would be for people to treat one another with mutual respect and human compassion...I guess thats not gonna happen, it deeply saddens me :sad1:
I'm very sorry Ron, I know you are extreemly disapointed, I hope you get em.

Sorry to hear that. I know it was packed in there that afternoon and I bet its hard to keep track of everyone when the store is like that. Wish I could offer some help but I don't guess I can. Good luck trying to tracking it down!

I don't know Chuck but they got your PPE too.

ACK that's really not good.

I have spoke with Barry before about the problems he has with theft. It still blows my mind that people are stealing live stock.

If you have video of it, it seems like it should be pretty easy to pin point at least when it happened.

I want 1 million dollars in unmarked bills. In 5's and 20's. If you call the police I will be forced to flush it down the toilet. I want you to meet me...... :)

Darn the bank is closed. Will you take a check? I just printed it out on some latex I have laying around.

Now that's one expensive PPE :D
Since a PPE is MIA too wonder if somebody thought the blue anthelia was cespitularia. If it wasn't a mistake somebody has good taste :rolleye1:

Ron I remember when it was a single polyp and it sure turned into a beautiful piece. When you can prop it again keep me in mind :D

UPDATE

PPE mysteriously re-appeared in almost the exact same place

No word on the blue anthelia yet.

No prob Amy, we need to let it grow a bit more.

glad you got it back, I have been 9 months trying to get someone to bring back a hood I made, Had over a hundred bucks in materials. Heck I would have sold it for 75 bucks was just going to use it for getting some new stuff at the store, hope they bring it back someday.

Have you been playing with that clocking device again?
Good to hear my PPE is back.

The good news is I now have a suspect list. Just to ease your minds, no one who has posted on this board so far this year is on that list.

Well lets make this count, this should serve a serious warning to those out there who are opening there doors to "locals and out of towners" looking for frags, and wanting to see your tanks. Meet them somewhere away from your home. My rule is simple, if I don't know you, you don't see my home tank regardless of what you are offering, even if I do it can take many years before your going to see it except in pics. Shoot maybe I don't even have a home tank anymore?

We use to toy with the idea of tank crawls from one members house to the next, but there is no way I would expect anyone out there to let a bunch of strangers into there home, it's just not safe anymore IMO.

I have seen posts from other clubs about doing these and I thought it would be very neat idea for the CVRC to do the same. But you make a good point and I'm not sure I would trust strangers from off the street in my home either.

What if the club was 'privatized' in a since and start charging a nominal yearly due?

I have always been for privatization of the club. I think if we were private we could do our auctions again and we could generate some funds for future endeavors the club would like to pursue.
If I am wrong in these assumptions please let me know.
