Ok so I am being serious about this because I just do not know if this can be possible. I got my tank about 3 months ago. I am always putting my hand in the water, yes washing first, to move something or adjust something etc. I do water changes with a siphon hose/tubing once a week. Sometimes I siphon out red slime or other crap with a smaller plastic tubing. I do it the old fashioned way by sucking on one end to start the siphon and spitting out the little amount of water that does get into my mouth.
Here is where I want you to know I am serious in asking this. I get diareah and sick stomaches more often now than I ever have. I thought about it and it began about 2.5 months ago, yes, about the time I got my tank. I don't swallow the water, but I'm not stupid in knowing that bacteria doesn't need to be swallowed to get into your system. I have not had a flu, or a cold or anything like that, ONLY diareah and sick stomaches.
When we are young and we accidently swallow sea water at the beach, we sometimes can get diareah etc.
So the $64,000 question is...... could it be possible that this is causing my problems ?
Again I am new to this so I really do not know and it is not my intention to be joking around about this.
Thank you in advance
