Stomatella Snails

I know these guys are reef safe and are good to have in the tank but I seem to have waayy too much than I'm used to seeing so I was concerned if having a HUGE population of them can end up eventually being a bad situation for me??

When lights are out I see hundreds of little babies as well as the larger ones everywhere. There are 2 that are the biggest which I'm assuming is the one spawning all these babies so should I take them out and put them in a separate tank or leave them? Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

They will self limit based on the food supply available.

However rather than allowing them to die off, sharing the wealth is a good idea. If your population were to crash you'll have friends willing to help you restock.

I definitely will give some away

So does anyone know if having a huge population of these guys going to cause a problem in my tank? Will they irritate corals? I see a lot of them on my sand bed as well as on my rocks.

I had a large increase in my stomatella snail population starting 3-4 months ago. I now have at least 80 in my 37g. I haven't seen them irritate my corals, but they're all over the glass at night. Keeping them all though :)
