Stomatella Snails.

My stomatella jumped from the rock to the back glass for the first time yesterday, and the cleaning trail was amazing. Very deep, all the way threw the algae to the glass. When it was on the rocks, I couldn't tell how good he really cleaned, but after he jumped to the back glass, I got a good view of how efficient the cleaning is.

Stomatella's are awesome snails, why does no one sell these guys? I'm sure there is a site or two out there, but I have not come across it yet. Stomatella snails seems to be a good cleaner snail, but I never see them for sale. Is it just cause there is no profit in them, are they hard to breed or collect? Websites are more likely to sell what is profitable and not what always works? That was a question hehe.

Right on. I agree with ya I love these guys. some of my fav. creatures to watch in the tank. I know nothing about breeding them but mine reproduce fairly quickly.

Right? My first one popped up about a year ago and now they're all over. It's nice to have something reproduce that's good for a change. I don't know why they'd be all that hard to breed and sell. Beats the heck out of most snails and I'd buy a bunch if they were available.

I've had them from time to time. They seem to thrive and multiply, then vanish a few months later.
Anyone know what eats them?
