Stop Montipora

Good morning, I wanted to ask a question, I have a montipora dish (I do not know the exact species), which grows without stopping and I have not yet found anything to stop or burn it. It has burned acropores (yongei and nana), montiporas digitatas, and a seriatopora gattatus. Does anyone think of anything that can stop it? Do not be scissors jajaja. Thank you.

Sorry, I did the question wrong, when I said something I was referring to another sps.
Still thank you for your reply Jda.

Nothing can. This is why lots of folks have no monti, birdsnest or stylo rules... they take over like clove polyps, xenia and mushrooms.

The often-mistaken-for-SPS-but-not species like pavona and hydnophora can kill anything back, but they bring their own sets of issues.

I don't know if you're talking about the same monti but my green monti grows crazy. I usually just frag it and keep it on a plug then give it out. When it gets too close to my SPS it stings it so I usually just scrape it down with a razer blade. Just finished doing that and getting rid of some mushrooms that are too close to SPS.

In the photo the montipora used to be all the way encrusted on the rock. 2nd attempt of scraping and it looks like it's going down. Just siphon the slime out

I nice big frag of hydnophora will stop it. Just kidding of course. I'm constantly breaking off huge chunks of my monti cap.

After similar experience with uncontrollable monti growth in my 180 reef , in my new 150 cube I will not be putting in any monti' or Xenia !
