Stop the MarineDepot bashing.

I wish people would stop bashing Marinedepot. I have purchased all of the hardware in my system from them and call them when I need to for advice and they always come through. I really appreciate the fact that they will allow items to be will called if one lives in the area. There have been a few occasions when a member of their staff has talked me down to a lesser priced item when they realized that there was potentially a better way to plumb something or suggested a different brand if they had seen a failure trend in a particular product. I read these forums occasionally, and it digusts me when I read that someone could even have a problem with MarineDepot. They have to be the easiest to deal with company I have ever dealt with. I look forward to many more years of reefkeeping and the excellent service from MarineDepot. See Ya.

I too have ordered a ton of stuff from these guys and they are terrific. The only problem is they are in Cali and I am in Washington, DC so shipping is expensive and takes awhile for ground.

I suggest they open an east coast location???
 
I've never had an issue with MD. I'm local to them but I prefer to just have them ship the items to me since it would cost me as much for gas to do Will Call and I would have to pay for tax. The no tax on internet orders is very helpful for CA residents. :) Yesterday I placed an order for a few items well after 3PM PST and did not expect it to be shipped until today. To my suprise I get a shipping confirmation email 40 mins later saying my item has been shipped! So today I'm expecting my order via UPS. I've always liked their very fast shipping.
 
I myself have ordered many times from MD, dry goods and livestock. I also have never had a problem with anything I have purchased with them.......I will continue to purchase from them.
 
I'm with the rest of you folks...MarineDepot has never let me down! They are the first vendor that I turn to for all my dry goods.
 
Well add my vote of confidence in favor of Marine Depot. I've ordered several shipments of dryware with no problems at all. Plus I just received today my first "live" stock delivery from MD. The quality and health of the speciments were outstanding.

To you Marine Depot will get my business everytime again and again!

Ordered from MarineDepot for years and spent thousands of dollars there. Over all these years and orders, not ONE problem to report. The order is always correct/accurate. They offer great high-end selection, have great prices, and ship quickly (unless an item is on backorder which they notify you very quickly of). Free shipping on orders over $175 (which my orders always seem to be!:mad2: ) and no sales tax for us Californians if ordered on the net. Helpful, knowledgable, super-friendly staff. I live a couple hours from them so as long as I order before 2 pm, I get my order from UPS the very next day. They also price-match without problems.

I give MD an A+++++++++++++++ in my book.:cool:
 
Any vendor get bashed in my book when i have a problem with something i purchased from them and they don't fix the problem or they give me the run around they they only sell the item and i must go through the Manufacture.
Thats BS if you sell something you should be able to replace it or make it right.
It's Common Sense and good business.
 
I have to agree that Marine Depot has been first class in my dealings with them. I've spent a few thousand with those guys and all was delivered as ordered and on time. The only defective item I had was a pump which was noisy. I discussed it with the technician there and ended up with a replacement of lower cost and more than adequate for the job. I might add that the technician was very polite and seemed to speak from some experience in his recommendations. They have become my first choice for online equipment purchases and I value their advice.
 
I also have ordered from Marine Depot many times, and have always been completely satisfied. But the latest dealings I have had with Marine Depot were positively the most professional and courtesous dealings I have ever had with anyone.

Without going into too much detail, I ordered a chiller based on the specifications on the website. As it turned out, the chiller was way under powered according to the manufacturer. Marine Depot and the manufacturer working together resolved this situation for me professionally, courteously, and went far beyond what any reasonable person could expect from any vendor.

Marine Depot will have my business as long as I am in this hobby.

Most people have unrealistic expectations and are often more then eager to tell the world about any and all unjustices done to them. It is good to see that a few good hearted people have the ability to say thanks for the service being provided and the quality of products being offered. It is refreshing.

MD has always provided me with accurate reliable service. I received what I ordered when they said it would be delivered. When there was a minor issue they handled it quickly and professionally which in hind site was just has much my fault as theirs.

Thanks for providing the quality of service that you do.
 
Ive ordered from MD at least 8 times. Spent thousands. Never had a problem. One thing, that I noticed, the web site seems harder to use than the catalog. Hard to find stuff. So I just use the catalog and just call. People on the phone are nice.
