Stopped Carbon Dosing.....Now What ?

Tom is Mr smarty pants. I look for poop. Organic chemistry hurts my head. Chances are, you have poop in your rock ,or the sand bed. If possible, take the sand out temporary. Get in there, clean up the funk. Sand is pretty cheap to replace. Rock is easy enough to cook. Water changes shouldn't sting too much. I'm always amazed at how much filth comes out of "clean" tanks.

Quick update, Saturday I siphoned out every bit of cyano on the sand bed and had to replace 10 gallons of water in the process . Also changed out and increased my GFO. Sunday was already much better, I siphoned out a few more spots of cyano and replaced a few gallons of water. Monday the tank looked pretty good , barely any signs of cyano. Tested PO4 with my ultra low range Hanna and it came back zero.
