Stopping STN other than fragging?

Is it possible to stop STN once it starts other than fragging? Has anybody tried glueing or using epoxy putty on the base of say a frag where it's beginning to try and stop it? Just curious if anybody has tried this.

Any ideas on what started it? If thats not fixed it will likely keep receding even with superglue. If all is good than the superglue could help, IMO. That being said, I have had the superglue trick work.

Can STN be passed to other corals I just had 2 Frags in the dt go down and 3 in the frag tank all water perm look good all other corals happy with great pe. So fraging is the only way to save a coral? Would dip help?

I used thin super glue from the hobby store to form a ring around the infected areas. This worked for me over the years. If RTN from the bottom, if it is widespread fragging a healthy section is the only option. Just my $.02

I had a swing in Alk which I believe to have caused STN on a small colony of Garf Bonzai. Thanks for everybodys response. I'm going to try the glue to see if it will stop it from spreading. I wonder if taking a scapel or razor blade to the affected area and cutting/scraping off the infected area will accomplish the same as fragging as well.

If its moving slowly I would just watch it and see if it stops. If it was the alk and you fixed it, it should cease and regrow the area. If its moving quickly than try the glue but be ready to frag.
