Storing RO/DI Unit

I've sold my tank, because we're doing some basement renos and it was going to be an incredible pain to move around/cover, etc, and I have a question. I'm planning on getting another tank, so I'm just going to store the RO/DI unit for now. What do I need to do to store my RO/DI unit? My water coming out of there is 5 ppm now, so I'm going to replace everything before I run it again, so should I just take everything out of all of the canisters, rinse and dry them, and then put it back together and store it? Also, is there any special place that I need to dispose of the DI resin, or is right in the trash fine?
Thanks!
Chris

The RO membrane is going to need to stay wet. Depending on how long you store it, your best bet might be to just toss the filters and buy all new onces you set it up again.

How old is the RO membrane currently? it might well be time for a change anyhow.

Since your just replacing everything once u set back up rinsing it out and storing it up on a shelf will be just fine. i would just make sure it is dry so no mold starts to grow on it or anything.

not sure on DI disposal.
