Storing RO water for top off

Hello everybody! I'm just wondering how long is it good for in a jug? Does it need to be circulating? Should I test anything first?... anything else I'm not thinking of?
Thanks!

I usually store my RO/DI water in a 5 gallon bucket with a lid for 7-10 days sometimes before I use it. No circulation, no heater no problem. I'm sure other people have gone much longer than this without any issues too.

Mine is stored in a 32 gallon Brute container.

I hope you are using RO/DI water and not just RO?

As long as you keep it in a sealed food grade container it can be stored indefinitely without heat or water movement. Same for saltwater unless your salt mix contains organics.

Yes... I mean ro/di.. sorry I'm new

Thanks everyone.. that helps a lot. I'm keeping it in an old 2g sealed jug I got from petco once for saltwater (I know I know.. I only did it once)

Keep in mind that as you store RODI water TDS will increase over time.
Example, day 1 TDS 0-2 ppm, day 7 TDS 7-10, end of week, TDS 25-27. These are the test results from my brute container.

In addition, after mixing salt, precipitation, while small, will start.

I make just enough RODI for a week, I make, mix and use, all of it within 48 hours.

I rinse both buckets and turn upside down to dry.

Over 6 months now, made a huge improvement in my DT. No algae, no cyno, no scrubbing and sand stays white.
