Strange growth on bottom lip of my Cardinal

Need some advice here....
My cardinal and I have been treating him with API E. M. Erythromycin and does not seem to be working his has been in the hosp tank for almost a month now.

What else can I use to get rid of it?

How contagious is it for the other fish that he had been with prior to me putting him in the hosp tank?

Pic is quite fuzzy, but it looks like lymphocytes, a harmless virus. Does it have the texture or a mini-cauliflower? Lympho usually disappears with pristine water, good diet & vitamins, and time. If this is lympho , and the lump grows and interferes with feeding, you may have to do surgery. Not as hard or cruel as it sounds.

It looks like a cotton ball on his lip and I would not totally afraid to do any type of surgery on a fish... I will try to get a bettet picture tonight.

"Cotton ball" is a key word in describing fungal infections. Treat in a QT with API Fungus cure or similar drug. Avoid the drugs that claim to cure everything. There is another fungucide I've used, but can't find it and I'm rushed. Old fashioned Malachite Green still works too.

What is Malachite Green?
I found these at the LFS would either one work????
API - Triple Sulfa
API - Fungus Cure

I just finished the full box of the E. M. Erythromycin and it is getting smaller but not gone completely. He has been in the Hosp tank for 1 month exactly.
