Strange growth

I have this strange thing growing in my sump.. Can any one I.D. it?? Is it safe or should I get rid of it?? Thanxx in advance..

I'm no hitchhiker ID guru, but looks like a sponge to me. Probably harmless. Just keep an eye on it for now.

looks harmless, probably sponge, maybe small softie coral.

I scraped it off the last time I did a water change..It grew back. There are a few much smaller ones growing too. As long as it's harmless I'll leave them be..
