Strange Osmolator issue...

My ATO has decided to turn itself off then periodically turn back on. I had the level green light flash for about 20 seconds then lights all shut off, after several minutes the unit turns back on and start dispensing water no matter what the level is. I have checked the sensor but I dont think that is it unless it can turn the entire system off. I run fresh water through it, have it hooked up to my Apex, and its just about a year old....I was hoping for some insight as to why or how this is happening.

There are a few possibilities.

1) A common cause is just a bad power connection, I frequently see where people unplug the power from the controller, the tip lands in a puddle or sump and it corrodes almost instantly from the combination of salt and electric current.

2) If the connector for the pump has gotten wet, the wire and connector will corrode and the high resistance can trigger a shut down. I would check that this connection is clean.

3) I have seen a transistor on the board burn out and cause this type of symptom, it seems to be caused by an extended run under condition (2).
