Strange Snail Actions (with vid)

I have a big snail that seems to be "pumping" some milky liquid into the tank. I have it on vid, but you gotta watch the whole thing he does a really good one towards the end. It looks like he is "smoking" in the begining. If anybody knows why they do this that would be nice to know...

Its very likely your witnessing a spawning event.

Cool, cos after that one did it, about 4 others went to the top where he was and did it also, i've seen them do this before. Maybe I'll have some good little snail babies. Or do you all think that it would just become food for the other tank inhabitants?

That kind of snail reproduction just doesnt work very well in aquariums. So its filter feeder/coral food.
