Strange White/Clear Worms on new Starburst Polyps

Hey guys-- I just got my briarem (not sure about the spelling) star polyps today, and while acclimating I noticed these white almost clear worms on them. If I'd move too fast, they would retreat into the coral. They are 2-3mm wide ant 5-6mm long. They have several tiny legs. Any idea what these are? I'm just concerned to put them in my tank not knowing what they are!

Thanks for the update. I agree with coralnut that pictures speak a thousand words. Anytime you have a substrate based coral like star polyps or zoanthids or mushrooms that are essentially little pieces of live rock with coral growth on them, you will have lots of little inverts living in and on the rock. Most of these are perfectly harmless and add to the ecosystem you are creating in your aquarium. Many of these fragile inverts will not last long in captivity and most will be eaten by something already in the tank.

If you are really concerned, what you can do is dip the rock in an iodine solution which will kill a large amount of hitchhikers. We also use malachite green for this purpose as well. Hope that helps.
