Stream advice please

Hello Roger,

I know you get like a gazillion of these questions a day but I would really appreciate some advice on a stream. My tank is 80gal and as you can see filled with softies (toadstool, mushies, pulse etc).

I was thinking about a 6000 and a single controller, but I'm not sure about where I would position it? Since my rock is in a line along the tank with corridors either side, I was thinking about putting it where the maxijet is along the back, pushing water to the side pane. Can the stream rotate that far on its' bracket? Where would you suggest?

PS. What is the best pulse timing to use?

The flow may be a bit on the strong side depending on what future additions you have planned. I think your placement is good, I generally recommend a 3 second pulse.

Thank you for your incredibly quick reply! So am I right in thinking that the stream will be able to rotate on its bracket far enough to point almost flat along the glass?

No, at most it could be rotated such that you could aim it to the diagonal corner. The bracket only allows about 45 degrees of movement each way, at that point the corner of the pump hits the back wall.
