I am getting ready to redo the flow in my tank. Right now I am using a closed loop with a OM 4 way, to simplify this and cut down on the power consumption I want to replace the 4 way and blueline 70 with a few streams. The biggest reason is because i am getting a fair amount of detries buildup on the bottom.

Tank is 72x24x30. What would be the best setup for an SPS tank. I am currently running a wavebox so this would be in addition to that.

I would say 2x6100 on multi controller. Each 6100 flow 2feet wide, it should help removed all the detries from the bottom as well as good flow for all the corals. It is depend on your aquascape and what type of corals you have in the tank.

Can the 6100 be run without the controller?
I understand that I will not be able to udjust the output flow but I have some other ideas for that.


On a 30" high tank that is penisula style where How high should mount these guys up on the wall? mid way or closer to the bottom. The idea is to keep as much of the detrius is suspension as possible

Yes, and yes, you can adjust the flow without the controller.Nearer the top, maybe 6-12" from the top.
