Stream FLOW ???

I was wondering with the streams, 6100, 6200, is it better to have the flow blowing into an open area ?

I have areas where I could direct the flow of a unit through like a tunnel in the tank, the flow works of course, but from the diagram of the flow for the streams, it appears that the flow spreads as it leaves and I was concerned if this was limiting my total flow in the tank. hope the question makes sense.

Any constiction or obstruction will greatly diminish the flow, it is best to have an open area for the flow.
