Roger,

Would there be any adverse affects to the pump(not inhabitants) by cutting out every other intake screen bar to try to increase the flow of a stream pump??

Just the increased risk of damage to the propeller.

If you want to increase the flow of your Streams just upgrade to the 6100 transformers. I doubt modding the pump will give you as much more flow as you think.

Yes, I do agree with tagareef though and keep in mind these covers cost almost $50, I have a couple used ones I would sell for $30.

Not for a reasonable amount of money, too many parts are different and you will come out ahead selling the 6100 and buying a 6200.
