I did my usual cleaning of my 6100s an the one is making a much louder huming noise than the other. It happens when the stream pulses at like 70-100% of its power.

What could be the problem?

I would double check everything, dissessemble it and check for debris. I would suspect the collar (bush bearing) is loose or improperly inserted, you might pry it out and reinsert it turned 180 degrees.

Also, have you checked that the pump isn't reverberating off of a surface? Nothing is touching the holder?

Yes, it could, this would compress the oring which pulls up on the brakes and makes them stick.

Well, that didnt do anything.

When putting the drive unit back into the stream, is their a special way that it should go back in? It just seems to pull itself back in because of the magnet.

No, mainly just be sure the bush bearing (collar around the hole) is firmly seated, it often fixes this problem to pry it out and turn it 180 degrees.
