Stream selection and dimensions?

Hi Roger,

I'm currently planning my new tank 120 x 60 x 60cm (47 x 23,5 x 23,5 inches).

I'm looking for a very clean look with a minimum (or none) of visible equipment in the tank. And my experience with the Vortech pumps are not that good so I'm sticking with Tunze.

This is the solution I'm thinking about.

It's like a semi closed loop with Tunze streams. Water intake from the bottom and holes in the acrylic that fits the output dimensions of the Tunze Streams.

Do you think this would work and be a good solution?

If so I wonder what pump/pumps you would recommend for that tank. It will be an SPS tank. And how wide would the "box" have to be to fit both the Silencer magnetic holder and the selected pump?

I hope you understand what I'm after... and that you can give me some good advice.

Thanks!

Best regards

Hans

I would use 6105's, they have the greatest reach and since flow will only come from one side you need some bounce back to get full coverage by the flow. The pump complete with inside portion of the holder is almost exactly 13cm deep, considering you want a portion to stick out a bit through the outlet hole I would make the box 11-12cm deep inside dimensions.
