Stream vs nanostream

I was just wondering what people thought about something like the 6000 stream vs a 6055 nanostream. What are the advantages/differences of setting up a system with two 6000s on a multi controller vs two/three 6055s on a multi controller. I realize the 6055s aren't out yet but I am considering a preorder for them. Lastly if I were to preorder them where would be the best place to put in a preorder. Thanks

The 6000's are upgradeable to 6100's, they have a proven track record. The 6055 is cheaper and smaller.

What about direction of the flow? Is the direction with maybe 3 6055's going to better than using 2 6100's on either side of the tank?

Yes the 6055 can be swiveled and is more simple to position, that is true. A 6000 only moves about 45 degrees left or right.
