Streams on a 150

I'm setting up a new 150 gal. (60x24x24) and want to ditch the CL and go with the Streams. I am going to start with one and add another later, with hte 7095 controller, when the funds permit. What do you recommend the 6000 or 6100? The tank is a mixed reef that is SPS dominated and will have a shallow sand bed.

Tough call, the 6100 is likely to be too much and the 6000 will fall a bit short. I would go with the 6000 and use interval mode II so both are running and this should be fine.

Roger's right here. I have a 150 with two 6080s. I replaced one of the 6080s with a 6000, but the flow from the 6000 was too low so I think I'll do a transformer upgrade to the 6100 in the future.

5ft tanks are tricky, the ideal is something we don't offer, take the transformer from a 7300/2 which gives you something like an adjustable 6080. I don't stock this part because no one has ever wanted it but it is part 7310.602 and would cost about $50.

I bought a 6100 and a 6000 because I have the same size tank. Roger what do you think about one of each instead of two of the same.

The 6100 can just be too much unless you have SPS or a tank longer than 6ft.
