So what i thoguht to have a got a Powder Brown tang actually might be a Powder Blue and here my question if stressed can they got stress spots 9looks like ich but really isnt) or is just a myth i am confused please help!!! Thanks!!

I'm confused.
You said you had two tangs and mentioned a salifin(desjardeni ). Then you asked in another post which tang could you add with your powder brown. Which may now be a powder blue. Then you asked how to get your clowns to host an anemone. Then you asked about ich treatment and later about kick ich even though you noted garlic had cleared it up.
What's in the tank? What symptoms of ich or spots have you observed? Pictures would help. Stress spots is a new one for me.

I got rid of my sailfin and lemon peel and now im down to the power blue the clowns a jwfish and chromis...ive noticed on the tang it has bigger white spots ( ive been throiugh ick on my old 37) ik to do a hypo but i was just wondering if there was any way without mvingthe fish thats all

A lot of fluctuation is not good for a tank or its inhabitants. I'm a bit perplexed as well. Moving fish in and out of a new tank can really keep things out of balance. I'm not sure how a powder brown can be mistaken for a powder blue, was it unhealthy when you got it? Do you have a way to post pictures?

I'm not coming down on you, I don't know you. So take this as friendly advice and not condescension. Patience my friend. In this hobby, slowing it down, taking a step back and waiting for things to balance out is always a better policy. Its better for your wallet and better for your tank inhabitants.

For example, my tanks ALWAYS looked better when I went on vacation. The reason was, I wasn't sticking my hands in there! It just found its own rhythm. My new set up has taken almost 10 months to get running. Every time I try to rush it, something bad happens.

Again, not trying to lecture you. It just seems that you have quite a lot going on. Quite a lot of change in a short period of time. If I didn't have 2 stinking babies, I might have more free time to swing over and give you a hand. Best of luck.

Some very good advice from the capt and I second it. One of the hardest things for me was patience and sometimes still is. But once you start to practice it things will get better. You have been around here for awhile so I’m sure you know all this. But from your posts as of late it just seems like you are on a bumpy road right now. But all in all it should get better once things settle in. And yes I have seen these spots on a purple tang before and it freaked me out as I went through all the proper protocol with QT and all. Showed up every once in a while for the first month or so after I first put it into my tank then just went away. Good luck

This can be confusing with out seeing in person or a Good picture.
But going by the description as best as I can, I think I know what it is roughly.

This spot or spots, are they an area on the fishes skin if you will- that changes color or disappears sometimes? reappears and disappears again sometimes?
Either on different days or at different hours of time?

It's not a golden or white salt grain like spot like an attached parasite like Ich or other.. But rather just an area on the skin that changes color or appears on and off in areas that should be colored normal... correct? sound right?

It could appear white (common) or black sometimes. A different or irregular looking area on the fishes skin..correct? Sometimes odd shaped blurry pattern or a circle or spot like "shaped" colored area? But not something that is actually ON the skin. Just a shaped area that is colored(white) differently than the rest of the body that is normal shade and appearance.

If this sounds like it, I've seen it before on a couple different Tangs in the past.
I had a regal hippo tang that especially would show them every once in a great while. But they Never bothered him in any way.

I've never really heard them referred to as "stress spots" if they are that in a way. But I could see why someone may call them that. whether it's correct or not, because they appear, disappear and reappear sometimes. Fish do "Change Color" sometimes when under stress or "mood" changes. Powder Brown to Powder blue.. uhh I dunno .. wierd but perhaps. Sometimes these irregular skin marks or (Spots, maybe not a good term) change color or appear/disappear similar to how a fish sometimes changes color when under stress.

Whether these actual things are "stress" or not, I'm not certain. Since it's not the whole fish changing color just the little "spot" areas. But often these can sometimes be abrasions the fish has accidently given itself when going into a favorite tight hiding spot in the rocks. (NOT from any kind of on purpose scratching though) Often.. I say from my experience- these have caused no ill to the fish. Whatever they are exactly. The cases I've seen back in the past, eventually disappeared again and didn't come back.

They are NOT parasites or infections of any kind. Curious and interesting. But if that sounds like what it is, it's nothing to worry about.

And
+ 2 for Capt. Cully.
