Hi, I have 3 Bangai Cardinals, One of them seems to be king, the other two hide in the upper corners.. today and yesterday i've noticed one not coming out to eat.. I think he's under my reef somewhere! Not much I can do about it but what my question is.... Will one of them dying poison the tank.. or will the CUC eat him ??

CUC will clean it up.

Banggai cardinals don't do well in groups. They're best kept as a pair unless you have a huge tank. Usually two will pair off in a group and kill the third and the rest.

If a body shows make sure and pull it, but depending tank size and maturity the CUC will take care of the body. You may see a rise in nitrates as the breakdown process will create a bit so do watch.

As already stated, this species often whittles down to either a pair if opposite sexes are in the group or a single if they are all the same sex, as you've discovered.
