went last year with 3 other guys for an anniversary party and so called sale and food give away at one of the stores down there........I wont mention any names as I dont want it to just seem like its downing an lfs but after driving all the way down there from sunrise it was very disappointing....we got there right as they opened so it wasnt an all sold out kind of thing and the selection of fish was needless to say non existing.....they didnt even have all the compartments full and I couldnt understand how such a big day sale once a year was just like mehh nothing much to look at ...other lfs I have been to had more of a selection on a sunday night at 8pm ....they were giving away food in the parking lot supposedly like a cook out kind of a deal and didnt even have anything ready when they opened and said it was going to be another hour before that was ready so we were out of there to go visit some other of the stores down that way.........there loss I guess but very disappointing .....the whole thing if you ask me was very unprepared for ...gheesh they have 3 wholesalers within 5 miles and one of if not the biggest on the east coast right down the road.....you would have thought they would have at least transshipped in a few boxes special for the sale if they weren't going to even bother visiting the wholesalers.....

will these places ever learn if you want to make money you have to spend it and stock up on more than yellow tangs and clownfish....if you build it they will come.....hope they have a good turnout and have some nice things let us know how it goes....

I agree that their fish selection can be lacking at times, but they have more corals than anyone else in the area. Besides most of us don't have 540g tanks that we can keep adding fish to. Personally I can't add any more fish but I can however add corals

lol agreed.....also I wasnt speaking of them specifically ......I was just making the statement that it just makes you wonder when stores do a ton of advertising for special event sale bs and then when you show up and they have nothing different than any other normal day who is doing the planning for the event....especially when the resources to make these events a huge success for them are in their back yards....

i made the drive there today from Miramar and wasnt impressed, I was thinking that there were gonna be some nice sales or whatever. Looked like a regular day. Corals were pricey as always and had a few yellow tangs for $20 WHOOPTI-DO, and some tiny royal grammas for $5.

There was a tank full of Vlamingis and they were all $30. I mean there was like 15 of them. i asked the dude to let me get it for $25 AND ill buy 20g of water. lol guy didnt budge. Then the mandarin gobys were $20. I mean c'mon that fish sells for like $15 and the coral beauties for $20. Those fish shoulda been $12-$15 IMO

I'm not bashing their store, pero damn if your gonna have a 22yr anniversary sale, you gotta bring more stuff than just pastelitos and croquetas.

In my opinion variety was great...my only problem was that it was to packed! Lol

Not a bad thing but i had my baby with me and that wouldnt work! My friend got 3 yellow tangs and a yellow midas zoa frag.

Still my favorite store

IMO prices on some zoanthids and palys are a little bit above your competitor's prices. Your store priced one polyp of red hornets and king midas for $30 and two polyps of CARs for $50, its more expensive than other business' sell. I mean other stores sell mini colonies with 6-8 polyps of lakers or fruit loops for $30. Don't mean to criticize or anything but why buy from you guys if the prices are more than other stores. Just Saying and speaking what i see. Fish wise, you guys are awesome and well priced, you have some healthy fish. you guys are a great store and i will continue doing business with you

i agree 100% with this, corals are a bit pricey, as per fish you guys do have the best selection, thats why i was a little bummed when I didnt see much sales on the fish today. Dont get me wrong, I will continue to buy fish here tho! =)

Walked in, remembered the sale was going on. Wish I would have remembered before I went to another store lol but walked in and left with a gramma! For 5 bucks couldn’t go wrong. Was able to get a small one for my cube and just wish I had more money for frags  but ill be back for sure! My daughter also enjoyed the free cookie lol and prices where awesome on majrity fo the things

And like they say all stores have competition and prices, I went to a store earlier looking for a coral banded shrimp. When all they had was a pair and was priced for $40,. Since im looking for a small one. I didn’t buy any and said for get it., but then I went to SF and saw they also had a pair of coral banded and it was $20 dollars for the pair! I would have deff picked that up if I had the funds I spent earlier. But for sure prices like thjat will keep me coming back! just hope that price was for that day only!

I think strictly by far has better prices compared to exotic example I picked up a fox face for 25 when exotic had for 32.99 and small 2 and half inch reef aquarium has the high end expensive stuff and ocean view pretty much neck and neck with strictly though not as much stuff am not bashing exotic case in there argument they have a bit more hard to find fish example tail spot blenny which I have never seen in strictly but as far as the commonly found stuff strictly is cheaper
