Stringy poop

I have an emperor angel with very stringy poop. It has been like this for weeks now. I have it in my QT with prazipro and CP. The tank is running with hypo salinity. Still no improvement.

I need some suggestions.

Is the stringy poo white or just stringy?

What do you feed him?

In the wild angels eat photosynthetic sponge, Zooxanthellae containing soft corals and algae (if they can find them). All foods with a lot of fiber content.

Primarily feeding brine shrimp may also cause stringy poo.

I feed a frozen angel food with sponges and algae. I also feed mysis and live little neck clams.

It has been dark colored but then today it was whitish.

Well, I have a pair of Solomon percula that have it on and off over the last weeks. I'm trying API General Cure now.

If it is only this one time and otherwise there are no signs of infection I would just observe it. It may have eaten something bad.
If it persists treatment with Praziquantel and/or Metronidazole may be required. There are medicated foods, but my fish don't like them.
