Stringy Slime from Zoas?

I was moving some small hardscape and I accidently hit a Zoa frag. Then it started to close up and release stringy clear slime. What could it be?

I've never seen that, but when I covered up my zoas & palys with reef putty they released palytoxins into the water. They defend themselves with chemical warfare.

Make sure you thoroughly wash your hands & don't touch your face or rub your eyes. You'll end up in the ER & most doctors have no idea how to treat or identify your problems. Even if you tell them you suspect palytoxins they will have to google it to find out what the hell you're talking about.

I've heard cases of this palytoxin. Though I've always done things unprotected. Since seeing them in a glass aquarium marked as 'For Sale'. I kinda forget the possible danger. Thanks for the reminder
