Strombus Snails, o my

Noon

New member
Hey guys, been a while.

Was wondering if anyone had any interest in strombus snails? I got an order from ispf a while back and some were included. Well, they have pretty much been busy cleaning and doing other things since. Right now I have about 15 egg sacks full on my front glass.

If anyone is interested in these lil guys lemme know. I have quite a few now but in a couple weeks I will have tons.

I'm interested, but I'm curious how big they get and whether a sand bed is a requirement for them (I just replaced all of my rock and switched to BB). I'm finding a lot of stuff on the internet, but I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what species you've got and the care for them. Don't want to be irresponsible...

I always get messed up when typing that. Its www.ipsf.com.

Heres their description. And I will get some adult pics up tomorrow. They dont get very big at all but are non stop and spend hardly any time at all on the sand, mainly on the glass and rocks.

The marine aquarium industry's hottest new grazer. Reef-safe, highly active, approx. 1/4 inch shell. These are miniature Pacific relatives of the famous Queen Conch known from Caribbean waters. Hawaiian Strombus Grazers stay small and never exceed about 1/2 inch in length. They are the perfect size for reef aquariums! Many customers report that our Strombus Grazers lay eggs on the front glass, giving rise about 2 weeks later to hundreds of baby snails. An army of small algae eaters working day and night to keep your tank free of problem algae! Of course ours are 100% captive-bred. Grow your own! Place right-side up on live rocks after acclimation.

Would anyone be willing to trade some Caluerpa(sp) for some of these? Want to get my sump/fuge populated more and could use some if anyone has any. Not really wanting any of the grape stuff but the other kind would be wonderful.

Yes chaeto. Soon as I get some together I will let you know. They take around 3-4 weeks to hatch, but if I can catch enough in the open for me to get you some sooner then I will.

I've also got TONS of chaeto if you'd like to trade. I was just looking yesterday and thinking I needed to trim back.
