Stuck between Regal 300sss and reef octopus 6000 for 500 gallon tank

Looking to buy a skimmer for my 500 gallon tank, and I'm stuck between the Regal 300SSS Protein Skimmer or the Reef Octopus Super Reef 6000 External Skimmer. I plan on having a decent bio load but not a huge overkill. Wondering if I should wait for the Regal or just go with the Octopus, any help would be great!

I debated the same thing. I decided to go with the new technology. Regal 300 sss is up and running and was skimming great in an hour...great decision glad I waited.

Hmm didn't even know of the Regal line, guess that answers that question that has been bugging me about why they discontinued their Diablo DC skimmer (and pump) line.
