stuck Clam

hello fellows

I have a Derasa Clam and it has attaced itself to a pice of rock in the tank is this a bad, good, or, not a problem. he is opend up fully and everything but i was jsut wondering if it is on the have it stuck to a rock or not

If he attached himself, he is fine. Dereasas are usually found on the sand, but can survive on the rockwork.

well he is still in the sand bed but he has been pucched around by the hurmits and has attaced to the bottem of some small rocks i have in the sand

It's perfectly normal for a clam to attach itself.

It has used its byssal gland to do this.

When he is larger and his weight helps keep him in place, he will let go.
