Stuff for Sale

I was planning on selling this stuff before we got the news that we are going to have to move, but now it is confirmed and I would like to sell off this equipment that we really don't need anymore. As soon as I can get decent shipping estimates, I'll be listing these in the main selling forum, so speak up if you're interested in anything. Here goes...

Super Skimmer 65 - asking $40
100_4210.jpg

I don't have the bubble trap (it didn't work anyway) and I had to splice the cord because the previous owner got some SW on it and frankly it made me a little nervous to plug in the way it was. It has some scratches on the outside, but it still works as good as it ever has.

Euro Reef ES-8-1 w/ sedra 5000 pump - asking $140
100_4204.jpg

Skimmer has gate valve mod. I love this skimmer and would recommend it to anyone, I just don't have a tank it will work with and don't foresee having one any time soon. It does have a crack near where the outlet of the skimmer goes through the body, but I fixed it with weld-on and it shouldn't cause any problems when it comes to the skimmer functioning (pic below)

ASM G3 w/ Sedra 5000 - $175
100_4212.jpg

Skimmer has mesh mod (makes a huge difference for bubbles output) and a recirculation mod. The recirc mod puts two extra holes in the skimmer body that obviously cannot be undone. However, it can easily be converted back to a non-recirc skimmer by capping off the holes and putting the pump in its original configuration. Needs a feed pump or gravity feed if you plan to use it as a recirc.

Sedra 5000 pump (and DIY Skimmer) - $50
100_4214.jpg

I built this skimmer only about a month before I down the tank it was on. It works fine, but obviously isn't as pretty as a retail skimmer. The pump is only a month old and is worth $70 new w/o shipping, so if you take the whole thing off of my hands I won't have to throw my own hard work in the trash and you'll get a pump for less than retail.

VHO Endcaps and Ballast - $15
100_4217.jpg

I cleaned these end caps and ballast out of an old set-up I got. It turned out I didn't need them. Only one side of the ballast works, so I'll include it free to whoever wants to buy the endcaps (as back-up if you need it). If you can fix it, more power to ya... I haven't really looked at it much. The endcaps have quick disconnects for the ballast attached to them (see below) but they can easily be cut off.

Coralife PC Light (2x18W) - $25
100_4220.jpg

100_4221.jpg

Small power compact light. Both bulbs are less than 2 months old. Includes legs.

Nano Equipment - $5 (just pay for my gas to meet you please :))
100_4223.jpg

Fluval 1plus Nano Filter (no filter pad)
Hydor Theo Submersible 25W Heater
Mini-Magfloat (smallest one they make)
Top Fin Hang-on Heater (??? watts… just kept it for back-up)
Glass Thermometer

A bunch of nano equipment that would be great for someone starting a small tank. Free if you want them with the Coralife fixture.

2 x Seio M1500's with SureGrip Magnetic Holders - $40
100_4203.jpg

These do not have the directional snout shown with most pictures of them (http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_AquariumPage~PageAlias~powerheads_pumps_taam_seio.html)

90 Gallon Reef-Ready - $300
Comes with canopy with fans, stand, sump, hang-on closed loop, side cabinet, plumbing from set-up. Also includes a 2-bulb VHO retrofit.

RockStar - I need to figure out prices for shipping, which means getting box dimensions and weights to at least get a decent estimate (I don't ship enough to have any idea what it will cost)... but that was my plan if no one local wants them. There is definitely a bigger market out there and most of this stuff is easy enough to stick in a box. PM me about whatever you're interested in...

Hey Brian I will take some of that equipment I am familiar with back off your hands :). Call me when you get a chance 790-97three three.

The seios, nano stuff, VHO ballest and end caps and maybe a skimmer.

Brian, I'll take the CSS65, can meet you in ashland city (I'm in Clarksville).

Might be interested in the hangon closed loop from the 90, if you start to part it out.

Looks like everything but the Euro-Reef, ASM G3, DIY skimmer, and tank are currently pending.

I'll update if anything changes.

I had the Euro-Reef on my 90. It's actually a little big for it I think (ER ratings are known to be pretty conservative and it is rated for a 135), but I am also of the opinion that it is difficult to over skim.

yikes!....let me double check my sump sections when i get home...i'll let you know first thing in the morning

but if someone else "for sure" wants to buy it, then thats fine with me

Acura... there's a few things I could recommend, but anything I have would probably be a bit big for a 90 gallon. In any case, your options are probably more limited by budget than anything else. I've heard a lot of good things about octopus skimmers for the money (I don't have personal experience there) and Emerald Bay carries them, so there is at least one local option for them. I always really like my euro-reef for consistently good operation that was pretty trouble free.

Skimmers seem like a pretty basic piece of equipment and so some of the price tags are hard to swallow, but it is a bunch of little things that separates the good from the bad.

If you want more input on picking one out, throw up a post in the forum with your system size (75 gal), a general budget, and any special needs your system might have... you'll get a lot of opinions, but you might be able to narrow your search a bit.

Norm... it's yours. I can bring it on Monday.

John - I had it running in a 30 long underneath of my 90, but it was tight and it had to be fit in very carefully to get around my bubble box. The body is 8" diameter... so it is a pretty darn fat skimmer.

If you still have the Eurro Reef after this weekend, I may be interested. Gotta wait and see how much I spend tomorrow at MACNA.

what are the dimensions on the small pc light? I am thinking this would work great for a sump light to grow macro.

Great prices btw. You are giving this stuff away!
