Stung Goniopora

I have a neon yellow Goniopora. Had him two months, after taking a while to open he is doing great! Two days ago my Branching Frog Spawn fell on the Goni. The tissue around the polyps is gray. Those polyps on the edge of the damage site have since started opening. Anything I can do? Advice on chances of survival? Thanks!

minimal damage - you may lose a few heads but thats it...

That's good to hear. I've also heard having any injury can encourage brown jelly :S

allways watch out for brown jellie it just a infection that spreads fast.goni if healhty and growing will heal fast .if you lose a few polyps be sure to keep the area clean of algea so the goni can regrow over it.

I'd be more concerned about water quality given that patch of algae below the coral.

yes it will attack the exposed pouris coralite very fast and it is very hard to remove once it gets in the nooks of the pouris spots.
