stunner led strips

I have a 12 gallon nano and was looking for more blue light to give my coral color more pop. I currently have a 70w metal halide. I was looking at the stunner led strip lights but wasnt sure if it would be seen with the halides. Will it be visible with the halides on? if it will be which of the three colors should I buy to have the best look?

Thanks

Tried the stunner blue with a 96 w powercompact Pc and couldn't even tell the stunner strip was on. The panorama fixture however made a significant difference.

Those stunners are pretty bright. I'd think that they would add some color to your lighting, but I can't say from experience. They are *designed* to be supplemental acintic lighting, so I'd be surprised if they had no effect. Just my $0.02

I'm using an Actinic + Ultraviolet strips as supplement for a 250 MH. There is a slight difference. But the colors without the 250 on are insane. I'm kicking around adding another one so there is a bigger difference with the 250 on.

Strike, do you use the stunner strip or something else?

By the time you add three stunner strips you've spent more money on them than the panorama, with inferior results. I've borrowed two stunner strips from my LFS and in conjunction with my 96 watt PC they're almost invisible.

If you want actinic night lighting get a couple of these for $8 a piece. They make corals glow after the main lights go out at a fraction of the cost.

ime,jmo,

+1 on the panorama module. I have the 42 watt retrofit module, with two 50/50 12watt modules, and the tank really looks great. Not sure about the stunners, though. I considered them, but didn't see it necessary with already having the retrofits.

Excuse me if I'm hijacking on your thread... But, I'm curious if anyone has suggestions for something like these stunner strips in around a 4-6" long fixture length?

In addition to that I have the Stunner Strip reflectors, which supposedly double the numbers. They probably don't double the numbers, but are more powerful than the panorama. With the MH on it makes only a slight difference in color, but I think adding the extra one would give me just the look I want. I also got them because I like being able to daisy chain them. I have 2 MH's and each has 2 stunnder strips. Like I said before, 1 UV and 1 Actinic. I think I need 1 more Actinic for each MH.

I have two stunner actinics but when they are on they make no difference either on my 55 gal with t5 lighting or on my 75 gal with two 250 metal halides. They do make decent night lights though. Waste of money as supplimental lights for color.. just my 5 cents, used to be 2 cents but inflation....

I agree, at 2 per 250 MH there is very little difference. If I get a good camera, I could show the difference with 4 per MH(2 UV).

well i went with the panorama all blue led. I am really happy with it. It really gives a nice blue color and give the corals the pop I was looking for. Thank you for all the help
