This specimen hit Japan earlier in the week and ended up at LFS crownfish, whom I believe is accepting offers. Considering this shop recently sold an aberrant flame for $2K USD, I'd imaging this fish is in the $3K range--keep in mind that last number is pure speculation on my part.

If you block out the body on the third image it looks like a CB. So like others I think Flame X CB.

Crazy. What's the chance of swimming into something like that? That's one hot fish.

The fact that the face is slightly blue makes me think it's a cross with a CB, but the lines that appear on the top/spine and the dorsal and anal fins make me think potters. Who really knows what happens when you mix these genes and unless genetic testing is done, you cant really be sure.

ahhh thats not a hybrid..... there was a thread a while back about a guy that went to a convention and guy had a fish exactly like this...what i remember of the thread he showed pictures from a book that was in japanese, like closely related to the flame angel... for the life of me i cant remember that thread....maybe someone can chime in...

Too much purple in the face to just be a rusty. If you have ever had a rusty, they have zero purple in their body and the blue around the tail looks almost nothing like that picture. Really cool fish, either a hybrid or a morph, it is definitely different.
