Came in this morning to find that my second WP40 stopped working.
To refresh the collective memory, I had one start acting up a few weeks ago. The impeller spins, but the lights on the controller unit and the power supply blink. Which means it's not getting full power for some reason. I noticed today that there's a crackling sound coming from the box of the power supply every time it tries to send power through to the controller. Like something is shorting inside the power supply.
Same exact thing with this second one.
I soaked the first powerhead in vinegar and water so it's about as clean as it's ever been. Pretty sure it's not the powerhead, but rather something with the power supply.
I know you get what you pay for and that this stuff is coming from China where there is almost zero quality control, but this is ridiculous.
I've ordered a replacement power supply. We'll see how that works. If it doesn't fix the problem, I'm going to have to search for some new pumps.
