stupid clowns?

I have a pair of small tank raised black occs. in my 120 gal fowlr. my one spot foxface cleaned up all the gha so I give him some nori on a clip every other day. I have noticed now that the clowns are trying to host the nori. the foxface chases them out when he wants some but as soon as he leaves they are right back in the nori. I know they can host some strange things, but this is a first for me.

I never heard about clowns hosting something else than parasites.

And they can take as host anything what moves to lie eggs near.

Have you tried moving the Nori Clip?
