Stupid Lta

So, i come home after a hard days work...to a beautiful tank. Pleased with my progress I feed my inhabitant and head to the office for some FPS action (Star Wars Battle Front 2). My wife calls me to check the grill, I check it and start to work my way back to the office. I pass the tank and do a double take water is cloudy.... a little ****ed thinking the goby has gone to work i head over....to notice my blasted LTA has moved for the first time on its own since I got the it.:eek2: :eek2: and its in my Koralia 4:eek1: :eek1: I gently remove it....and low and behold half of its tentacles are chewed to bits.....

Mouth is gaping......

I got it at the size of a silver dollar, and it when fully extended it was 8-10 inches across....not counting tentacles....dispair has turned to heartbreak....

In any case....Im looking for a BTA, does anyone have one for sale...if you dont have one for sale id be interesting in a rose bubble tip......or something other than tan.....Green....white.....Rose....

I would be interested in a carpet....but i have a few little fish that I would like to keep so that would be the lowest on the list.

Are you sure the LTA is dead? I have an RBTA that shrank to the size of a quarter under a rock. I was sure it was a goner. I pressed it onto the front of a rock and it inflated a while later and is still going. Bizarre critters.

Well...half the tentacles are gone.....chewed to pieces.....the moth is open and spewing out dark stuff....if that keeps up ill run carbon tonight and toss it in the morning if there is no change...

newreef, dont give up, theres still hope.

i had a green bubble tip do the same thing into my seio, most of its tentacles chewed and mouth open. i put him on 1 of the rocks on top, he crawled down and didnt see him for 3-4 days(recovering) then slowly popped back out a crack for light. he looks almost to what he used to be now after a month and a half or so maybe 2 months.

Im gonna let it heal for a few days...and see what happens it starts to regen, I will trade it or donate it to someone...

same thing happened to me as well. to think of it I was going to post on ur other tank thread that u should watch ur LTA and the powerhead that was sitting right on top of it on the left side of the tank.

Hey Eric, what happened to it? did it die? did it regen?

It has been there for months, and still hadnt moved at all....then tonight right after it got fed....it moves....

I caught mine wayyyy after it had gotten sucked up. it was basically nothing when i pulled it out. like a no0b i left the water cloudy and didnt do a waterchange.

if u havent done one, do it now.
