Stupid me!

Short story of my night,

Yesterday around 8pm I was re-pumbing my ATO line and by accident I plugged the in line to the out line by mistake and put the cover on lid and went on with my night. Well 2am comes around and my wife wakes me up saying the tanks making a funny noise. So I wake up to a floor full of water. So I turn the light on and I see my tanks water level at the bottom of the overflow teeth and my 3 chamber 20gal sump just about empty. I had my ATO pump in the sump and a intake line running to a 5gal jug, well since I hooked up the line wrong it drained my sump into the jug of clean RO/DI and now the jug is overflowing and my brand new 700gph sicce pump is humming away. SH*T SH*T SH*T. So for the last few hrs Ive been cleaning about 5 gal of water off my floor making new salt/RO/DI water to top off and thinking I have to work soon. Im calling off!

SO long story short MAKE SURE MY ATO LINE IS CONNECTED TO THE INTAKE NOT THE DISCHARGE>!!!

OUCH.. Hope the Foor was not damaged...

Please do not get upset but you might should leave the plumbing to someone else..... Teasing.


We all make mistakes sometimes and they are often STUPID OBVIOUS ONES from rushing something........

My Latest ones was I forget to re open then Drain line on my Bi-Pellet Reactor. (External one" Powered by manifold on Return pump and into inlet on skimmer. In the middle of the night the water pressure built up so much that the Reactor burst open... I HAD Lost prob 40 gallons of water before i realized and my ato replaced half of it.. dropping salinity in my tank...
The good news i never repaired the Reactor and my Cyano issue went away..
