stupid protien skimmer!!!!! ugh

i dosed my tank with red slime remover and ever since i turned the protien skimmer back on ....it immediatly fills the column with micro bubbles and then fills the skimmer cup with bubbles and water then the bubbles squirt out the sides of cup where the top locks on.......then it fills my sump with micro bubbles and the pump fills my tank with bubbles!!!!! wth? is this normal? and how long b4 it stops? or is there somthing i can do to fix this? ive tried moving the slide tube(over flow) up and down and also emptying the cup alot.
also ever since i used red slime remover a bunch of my palys wont open,blue clove polys wont open,and my favorite devils hand leather is completly drooprd over ! common for corals to react this way after a chemical dose?

Did you do a large water change after dosing? If so, how many gallons on what size system?

I'd start with a decent sized water change.

The solution to pollution is dilution!!

Kevin... as I mentioned the other day, I have been having the same issue. The Red Slime Remover successfully killed all of the Cyanobacteria that I had, but it also made my skimmer go nuts to the point where I couldn't run it at all without it overflowing within seconds. After a month, it's finally settling down. The best way to combat it (IME) is to run Carbon and Polyfilter, along with a series of large (20% or more) water changes.
