Stylo damage

So I went out of town for 5 days, and returned to see that my stylo frag had fallen down to the substrate. It's happened before and it was fine, but this time it fell into my acan. It had no chance - it was stripped bare on a couple of its branches. The rest is fine. I've been careful with coral spacing since I started the tank, so this is my first real run-in with coral wars. Pretty cool, actually.

My question is, will the stylo regrow over the skeleton, or should I break it off at the root of the damage and let it regrow the branches completely?

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing. I'll wait a couple weeks and see what happens I guess, but ultimately I think I'll be fragging it. There are still a couple tiny patches of flesh left, so I'll give it a chance to bounce back.
