submersible pump vibration dampening

i have a 155 bow with 2 sumps, an mr2 mr2 driven by a velocity titanium t4, and the return is a quiet one 5000. the tank is almost silent. i hear the rr overflows more than the pumps. the t4 you cant hear with the cabinet open.. at all. but the quiet one it pretty quiet itself, but with it sitting in the bottom of the sump with nothing between its plastic housing, and the acrylic but nothing. well.. i get a lil hum from vibration. what would be good that i may have laying around the house that i could stick under/around it to dampen that sound? i read you can use a mousepad, but i wanted to make sure before i did it.

I used a foot long piece of 1" hose that I had left over from plumbing.
I just wedges it in between the pump and the side.

The softest reefsafe rubber is adding beads of aquarium safe silicone on the bottom of the pump. Nothing will outperform it.

Make sure you let the silicone dry 12-24hrs before you put it back in the water.

Don't know if I'll get flamed for this response, but I use a filter pad and a zip tie. Just zip tie the filter pad to the bottom of the pump. It may be a place for bacteria to grow, but its a small pad and my numbers have never been bad.

My Mag9.5 is hard plumbed to the chiller which helps some. I also cut a piece of egg crate to go underneath the pump. It is very quiet now.
