substrate choice

hi. i am setting up my first saltwater tank and i would like a little advice on the best choice of substrate.
i would like a depth of 1 1/2 - 2 inches (the tank is 120 liters, 60cm x 45cm).
i am not sure about live sand but i would like something that does not require too much rinsing.
what i really do not want is something that blows around everywhere.
i also want it to be suitable for sand sifting inverts.
thanks.

Caribsea fiji pink is a pretty standard sand choice. Live sand, so no reason to rinse it since it would defeat the purpose of buying live sand, I used it and wasn't gentle adding water, it wasn't too cloudy and cleared up over night.

I use special grade reef sand. I like it because it doesn't blow around from the power heads as much as finer sand does.

I have used Fiji pink in 2 tanks and just used special grade reef in another. They all blow around a bit until they settle. I like the look of the Fiji pink a little better, but really not much of a difference to me.

Tropic Eden Reefflakes are a very good choice if you can find them. They don't blow around quite as easily as some of the others and look very nice.
