I have a sea cucumber in my tank now with fine sand and it has seemed to be doing well. I would like to add a more course crushed coral type of substrate but am afraid the cucumber would not be able to feed. What do you think?

What kind of cucumber?
What size tank?
You don't want to replace the substrate, the substrate is probably where the cucumber is getting its food. New substrate won't have any useful stuff.
