could somebody pkease tell me what this is on my aragonite substrate. the tank is 10 days old and this appeared in the last 2 days and has me somewhat freaked [ya dont get this kind of thing in fresh water]

It looks like the typical cyanobacteria-diatom-dinoflagellates bloom. They often go away on their own.

are there any creatures that I could add to help it go away or should i just leave it alone

Some snails might eat parts of the bloom, but I just ignore it.

Sorry... I stole that joke from someone...

It is a sign of excess nutrients in the water... very common in new tanks... I wouldn't try to fix it yet... wait it out for now... if it gets real bad (thick and chunky) try to siphon some out

i liked that spuds ,I guess for now i'll just relax and watch the tank grow all kinds of stuff i've never seen in fresh water.
