I officially paired together two Smith's Fang Blennies! I knew that the one I had was a female, because she did not have a clasper, which is what only males have. So when I went to my LFS today, they had two Smith's Fang Blennies in, and one was a male! So now, all I need to do is set up a new 10 gallon tank for them to live in and make babies in :D.

I have never heard of claspers in reference to any species of fang blenny, can you explain more please?

Thanks

Christian

I accidentally said clasper. What I meant was ventral fin. If there is one, then it would be the fin directly in front of the anal fin. If it is long on a blenny of over 1 inch, it is a male. I am pretty sure that you can guess how to tell if it is a female

interesting, I have 3 atrodsalis breeding so i will have a look, I also have some very late stage larvae and all the ones i looked at have ventral fins.
