Such thing as fragging an anemone ?

I just watched a YouTube video of a guy fragging his Green Carpet Anemone . Basically what he did was cut it through thr center until he had 4 pieces. Then dumped them back into his aquarium .

Is a process like this safe to the anemone or just insanely stupid ?

Many have done it, just seems to be BTA's usually, and usually just one cut down center, two pieces.
Personally I wouldn't do it, there is always risk involved when doing this.

I've done this with BTA's. Its much more risky with carprts.

I've heard of people doing it with carpets with some success. I would not try cutting it in 4 though. Cutting it in 2 is hard enough on it.

ive got a carpet that is about 15-18 inches in diameter and i wish he was smaller but i dont think i would have the guts to cut him in half
