Suction cups

I have some plexiglass panels I bought with clasps and suction cups but the suction cups are not sticking to the glass. Does anyone know where I can find good suction cups. These are about the size of the ones you get on a 100-300 watt heater. 1 inch with about a 1/4 inch bud on the end. There a bouts. They are clear, but I don't care if they're neon orange. I just need them to hold.

Not sure how I would attach it to the panels since they have slide on slots with legs off to the side for the suction cups.

You might want to try throwing the suction cups in boiling water for 10 seconds or so. Sometimes this will make them more pliable.

i'm sorry i did not read well. i thought you were looking for suction cups for your heater.

You might want to try throwing the suction cups in boiling water for 10 seconds or so. Sometimes this will make them more pliable.

I think the issue is they are too pliable.

Too pliable? Usually when suction cups get old they become hard and brittle. I can't imagine being soft and somewhat spongy being a problem.

I sacrificed a Veggie Mag. I pulled the clip off and epoxied the holder for a brine shrimp hatchery to it instead.

These are brand new, not old. They are thin like paper. Will not stick.

You could put a little silicone on the suction cup and then stick it to the glass. This needs to be done when everything is dry, but after 12 hours or so you can fill the tank up or do whatever you need to do. FWIW the float valve I use for my ATO is stuck to the back glass of my sump this way. After 8.5 years it's still holding strong.

Yes, I considered this. The only problem is getting the suction cups to stay attached to the glass long enough to dry. They have 0 suction. They absolutely will not stick at all.

Plus, at this time, I'm not 100% sure where I'm going to need them. And if I had to move them I'd have to drain the sump and dry everything off.
