I am hoping someone with some experience can shed some light on this, as I am mighty puzzled.
I had an ocellaris clown (Clown "A") for about 4.5 years. Healthy as can be. A few months ago I thought I could mate him (her?) so I added a juvenile clown (Clown "B") to the tank. Within a week Clown A was dead. No obvious external symptoms, just up and died, and Clown B happy as a ...uh, clown.
Last week I thought I'd try again, added ocellaris Clown C to the tank. B and C seemed to get along quite nicely, swimming together, socializing and whatnot. By week's end ... Clown B dead. Again, nothing obvious, just up and died.
Strange coincidence? The natural order of things? Or....????
