sufficiant lighting for a clam?

i plan on settign up a rimless "nano" tank that will most likely measure 24"X24"X17", or possibly the same hieght but with a 30" square base.

for lighting, i would like to use a single 250W MH pendant apx 10"-12" fromt he water surface


can this support a derasea clam?
